Beatrice community-wide celebration, commemorating the 150th anniversary of the signing of the Homestead Act.  Activities and events for the whole family.  Celebrate with us throughout the week by visiting Homestead National Monument of America, Gage County Historical Society Museum, Beatrice Public Library. 
June 10 – Bow ‘N Go Triathlon, Go Fish Kids!
June 14 – EBBA Family Fun Night
June 15 – Pancake Breakfast, Street Dance, Speedway Races
June 16 – Bed Races, Kids Fun Run, Parade, Kids Activities, Ribfest
June 17 – 2 mile/10k, Community Church Service, Car Show

Go Fish Kids! Nebraska Walleye Association Kids Fishing Clinic

Rockford State Recreation Area, East Side of Lake, Area 4
Registration: 12:30 p.m.

This event is held in conjunction with the Beatrice Area Chamber of Commerce.  To sign up for the clinic, contact Beatrice Area Chamber of Commerce (402)223-2338 or email info@beatricechamber.com by Friday, June 8th, 2012.  

Need to provide child’s name, parents name and phone number.  The workshop is free.  Hot dogs, chips, pop and water are included.  There is a limit of 100 kids.  Parents are encouraged to attend.  Sign up early!

Certified Aquatic Education Fishing Instructors from Nebraska Walleye Association and Nebraska Game and Parks will be there to teach everything you want to know about fishing including casting, knot tying, bait, tackle, water safety and fish identification and anatomy.  All participants will get to fish the Lake and catch lots of fish.
