Homestead National Monument of America
January 12, 2013
Dave Henning and Derek Niss, science instructors from ESU 5, will explain and demonstrate the weather conditions from the horrific 1888 blizzard. This blizzard struck the Great Plains leaving over 230 dead, many of them children. It is known today as The Children's Blizzard. Homestead National Monument of America will commemorate the 125th anniversary of this event with two days of activities.
Admission is free of charge.
