Effective, July 12, 2010, the District will perform courtesy calls to customers regarding account information at the direction of the customers. These courtesy calls could include, but would not be limited to information regarding past due balances and reminders that your meter needs to be read. The courtesy calls will be made by an automated dialing device to the cellular or landline phone number provided by the customer, if a written consent is granted by the customer.

Customers may provide consent by completing the Automatic Telephone Dialing System Written Consent form at any Norris office or by downloading the form from our website at www.norrisppd.com and mailing it back to Norris Public Power District.

Water Heater Credits back to top >>

Water heater load control credits were inadvertently doubled on monthly bills for June electric consumption. To correct this, the District will not issue load control credits on monthly bills for July electric consumption. The normal $2.00 load control credit per water heater will return on monthly bills beginning with the August electric consumption.

Re-conductor Project       back to top >>

District crews began working on a re-conductor project in July due to damage from the November 16, 2009 winter storm that affected southern portions of the District's service area. The project entails stringing over 300 miles of new, higher capacity conductor, replacing damaged insulators and poles. Crews will continue working in portions of Gage, Jefferson and Thayer counties this fall and next spring with a goal of having the project complete by next summer. Click here to view a map of the area included in the re-conductor project.
